Great little pantry box in absolute original green paint. The green on the lid has oxidized differently than the sides due to exposure. This box is so sweet and would be great at the top of the stack. It measures 5 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Mississippi Cotton Overalls. Mississippi cotton refers to work denim overalls that were used for working in the farms and fields of the Southern states. The term Mississippi cotton indicates clothes that were hand patched and worked by families, usually women, so that work clothes could be worn again and again. The patching becomes a work of art in many of these overalls. They represent Textile Art of the growing of America in the 20th. century. These overalls are from the 1930's - early 1940's.
